I would like to have a shiba 
Cats are best, but taking care of pets is a pain. I just pet the cats of friends and family.

My grandma used to have a cat for many years, and he was just a silly and inoffensive fluff
>>3284 my mom's cat is actually not too bad, i'm just really not equipped to take care of another lifeform i'm tired all the time and him bolting up to my door and trying to get in every time i open it so i can use the bathroom or get water or something is just mildly annoying

I've wanted a snake ever since I was a kid, there's no particular reason for it, I've just always been fascinated by them, especially the ones from the Boa family. I loved watching nature documentaries and reading books about them 
The reason I haven't got one yet is because I still live with my parents and they're terrified of snakes. Also, recently we got cats, and even though the snake would live in it's enclosure, I wouldn't want to risk having cats and snakes living in the same house

I am a deeply troubled person, so I really want a owl or a crow… Or both! I don't know, I think they're cool.

Yup! They are indeed scary and as far as I know, the most intelligent ones in nature. I even saw the video ofrienduy that taught the goddamn crow to grab bucks from the street 
I confess that I think about doing the same-
And I don't think they can harm you... Unless you harm them too. Ah, and let's not forget that they can copy the human voice, and this indeed IS scary

As long as you properly lock the enclosure, you will not have any surprises in the morning. But even if this happens, the species I intend to have are not venomous, and although they're more on the big side, they are not any giants like a python or an anaconda.

Vipers really are on the more beautiful side of the snakes, I love the patterns a lot of them have, but as I stated above, I'm not planning to have any venomous snakes, I think it's too much for me to handle. And I'm sorry to break it to you, but the one in your image is edited, this specie is one from the Atheris family, snakes from this family can have lots of colors, but not this bright hot red, the closest they can have is a dark brown that can get a little reddish some times, like the one I annexed here(and even this one I think they edited the contrast a little too make the colors stronger), but honestly I think they are more beautiful with their natural colors.
