How would you rate your sleep schedule? Do you have any advice? How do I sleep for an acceptable amount of time while also resting well? I sleep for ~8 hours a day and I wake up completely drained and tired. I'm so sleepy all the time. I go to sleep at 9:30pm.

In my case, it says a lot that I'm typing this at 6AM with no sleep. I rate it 10/10

go to bed and wake up early.jpg - 42.91 KB (891x750)

i wouldn't be able to rate my sleep schedule, but i am able to somehow consistently wake up early. like, last night i went to bed at 5am and i just now woke up at 9:30am and i feel rested. that said, i have a bad habit of falling asleep in the afternoon and waking up in the middle of the night...

>>3727 I wish I could feel rested with just a few hours of sleep If I sleep at 5AM, I end up waking up at around 1-2PM and even then I still feel really tired...

Apparently, my sleep problems are due to a somewhat severe vitamin D deficiency caused by my hikikomori (sunless) lifestyle. My sleep is exactly like yours, I always feel tired, no matter how long I stay in bed, I need about 12+ hours of sleep to really have enough energy to want to get up, sleeping so much made it so I don't have any fixed sleeping schedule, because I can sleep, let's say, 12 hours and then spend the next 14 wake, or I could sleep 8 hours, and then 8 hours later I'm sleeping again for 12 hours. I honestly think I experienced all of the possible sleeping schedules a person can have The thing is, recently it started to get a lot better, since I started addressing a vitamin D problem I knew I had for some time now. I think it was a year or two ago that I had a blood test that detected that my vitamin D levels were extremely low, I think it was 9 ng/mL (for reference, the recommended is 30 and below 20 is already low), I didn't give it much thought at the time, but recently I started feeling pain in my hands, especially in my fingers, I'm pretty sure that it is arthritis, which is caused (or at least worsened) by low vitamin D. This actually scared me a bit, since the hobbies I enjoy require functional fingers (drawing, coding, gaming), so I finally decided to try to solve this problem. Now it's been about 2 weeks since I started to everyday at 11 a.m. take out my shirt, sit on a chair and stay there under the sun for 20 minutes. I noticed that my sleep got a lot better, still not completely fixed, but now I get tired at the right time, in fact I'm sleeping less, but also feeling much less tired when I wake up, I needed about 12+ hours of sleep to actually wake up not feeling like shit, now I'm sleeping about 7-8 hours and actually feel like getting out of bed in the morning. I hope this is not just a temporary placebo, I've heard that it takes a few months for vitamin D to return to normal levels with sun exposure alone (it's probably quicker with supplements), I'll wait those few months and see if it actually fix my sleeping problems, if it does, I intend to make a thread here to relate my experience

Usually, unless I have some kind of compromise, I'll sleep for 10+ hours and wake up around 11h30 I wanted to wake up sooner and enjoy the morning, but whenever I do, I always end up feeling dreadfully sleepy and tired

my sleep is the worst it's ever been. I work night shifts so I'm out passed midnight and then I don't go to sleep when I get home. I have to sleep at some point during the day before my next shift starts around late noon and lately I'm not sleeping then lol. I'm getting no sleep and it's making work more hellish. I just can't force myself to go to bed for some reason. gotta stay up and enjoy my life. but I don't do anything anyways other than youtube, anime etc. I know I could get some sleep and then enjoy life like 100x more. but just don't wanna and it makes me worse off.

>>3720 -1/10 I'm doing an online intersession class for public speaking and I basically put 90% of everything off until the 16th. The final due date for all assignments is the 20th and I've only written two speeches out of five so far.
