like I feel like this is through the lens of what a 11 year old thinks it's like to be into anime and stuff it's weird. when I was 9 azushits were a thing even right from the get go but by the time haruhi was already a decade old, haruhi and lucky star also had a weird gravitational pull for 11-14 year olds. and it's like now that anime is so big and normal not only do eva/azu/etc bring in 11-14 year olds but like also just randos who watch whatever. kind of like those weird kids who also wanted to be emo or something would just listen to like 3 emo bands. like azumanga is the BVB and shit of the "otaku" realm now that it's popular. just an observation I'm having, it feels super weird.

I'm not saying don't watch this crap, haruhi, lucky star, you gotta watch em'. they're more fun after you've seen enough anime to get the references but watch them regardless yknow. they're important either way. but uh. over a decade ago no one was that into the azumanga anime okay. the manga is where it's at. the anime compliments it but like, don't force yourself to enjoy literal crap. get a headstart on yotsuba, read azumanga, watch azumanga, don't force yourself to post retarded memes that don't even have relevance to anyone who will actually care, you'll just be so fucking bored and burnt out you'll probably fall out of actually watching anime and ever even experiencing anything fun. clip your own moments you liked in whatever anime you were watching, idolize whatever waifu you ilke etc. Idk what this animecore shit is but you're not going to have sustained fun and I imagine that world is kind of depressing and dull, looks heavily policed too. pretty gay. once you hit 40 days even on MAL of all places I'm sure you'd be able to also rate eva a solid 7... lol. god I don't even want to name the anime that are actually 10 times better than lucky star and whatever. go binge all that shit and discover what's actually good and not just what's popular. what's popular is kind of the most braindead crap. I want to encourage everyone here to embrace what it meant to be a "weeaboo" or "otaku" originally. this just ain't it. I mean, god no. this was like 3%. this is a small website. it's the perfect grounds for a nice god damn community. revive "today I watched" threads and watch shit at the same time. I want to relive that because I fucking hate facebook and tiktok and uhh dicksword. go for it. get into figure collecting. have some fucking patience and self discipline and don't vandalize old ass garage kits with your horrible painting skills. learn to use an air brush for 10 years first for example. for the love of god just actually get into anime and not the same 3 stupid crap.
