An open world game with a massive map that would take a very long time to cross. The plot should be open: you should be able to go kill the main villain from the very beginning ( like in botw), but there should also be many optional questlines that give you valuable information about your goal, gear, skills etc along the way.
Player actions should visibly change the world in meaningful ways.
There should be systems that make returning to previously visited areas difficult or undesirable not just because of distance, but other in-world reasons and mechanics though it should still be possible.
The world should have huge mountains that are actually hard to climb and descend, and vast swamps.
I want a high level of interactivity with the world. If I leave an item somewhere, I want it to stay there forever like in morrowind.
There should be AI-powered companions, and maybe other cool AI systems integrated throughout the game as well.
It should either be Blame!-like cyberpunk or an apocalyptic dark fantasy. Either way the world should make the player feel very lonely. Friendly npc encounters should be extremely rare, but also really meaningful so that when the player finally meets someone it feels special
